Tonga Outer Islands Mission Christmas Ornament
This ornament is a great way to remember your missionary and their service during the holidays! The design on this ornament is inspired by the Flag of Tonga.
Made out of a lightweight and very durable transparent acrylic, these ornaments will not weigh your tree down and can definitely withstand being dropped by the little ones should they get too curious around the tree. The acrylic is cut into a 4 inch circle and then laser etched with the name of the mission and graphics inspired by the region served.
The design on this ornament is inspired by the Flag of Tonga, which depicts a cross in the upper left corner. The colors and symbols of the flag carry cultural, political, and regional meanings. The cross alludes to Christianity, the religion practiced by approximately 97% of the country’s population. The colors of the flag invoke the Death of Christ, with white representing purity, while the red evokes the sacrifice of the Blood of Christ, which he shed during his Crucifixion.
Get one for yourself or send a pair out to your missionary and their companion!
Mission Social Media Groups
These groups are a great way to connect with other families who have missionaries in the same area, reconnect with other missionaries you served with in the past or simply learn more about the mission. Depending on the membership activity in the group, these can be truly amazing resources!
