Made out of a lightweight and very durable transparent acrylic, these ornaments will not weigh your tree down and can definitely withstand being dropped by the little ones should they get too curious around the tree. The acrylic is cut into a 4 inch circle and then laser etched with the name of the mission and graphics inspired by the region served.
The design on this ornament is inspired by the Coat of Arms for Peru and depicts a shield with a palm branch on its left and a laurel branch on its right, tied by a ribbon, as well as a Holm oak civic crown above it. These garnishes are meant to represent victory and glory. Within the shield are three fields containing illustrations of a vicuña (a relative of the llama) looking inwards, Cinchona Tree (a plant historically revered for its medicinal properties) and a cornucopia (a hollow, horn-shaped wicker basket) spilling coins, signifying with these symbols, the richnesses of Peru.
Get one for yourself or send a pair out to your missionary and their companion!
