Nevada Reno Mission Christmas Ornament
This ornament is a great way to remember your missionary and their service during the holidays! The design on this ornament is inspired by the Flag of Reno.
Made out of a lightweight and very durable transparent acrylic, these ornaments will not weigh your tree down and can definitely withstand being dropped by the little ones should they get too curious around the tree. The acrylic is cut into a 4 inch circle and then laser etched with the name of the mission and graphics inspired by the region served.
The design on this ornament is inspired by the Flag of Reno, the cities logo and constitutes a combination of elements from both of these local symbols. Derived from the flag is a very simple illustration of the Sierra Nevada mountains, with two notch’s below them representing the silver mining boom in the areas past (which ultimately led to the rise of the city of Reno itself) and the Truckee River. Taken from the Reno City Logo is a collection of small buildings representing the cities downtown area.
Get one for yourself or send a pair out to your missionary and their companion!
Mission Social Media Groups
These groups are a great way to connect with other families who have missionaries in the same area, reconnect with other missionaries you served with in the past or simply learn more about the mission. Depending on the membership activity in the group, these can be truly amazing resources!
