Missouri Independence Mission Christmas Ornament
This ornament is a great way to remember your missionary and their service during the holidays! The design on this ornament is inspired by the State Seal of Missouri.
Made out of a lightweight and very durable transparent acrylic, these ornaments will not weigh your tree down and can definitely withstand being dropped by the little ones should they get too curious around the tree. The acrylic is cut into a 4 inch circle and then laser etched with the name of the mission and graphics inspired by the region served.
The design on this ornament is inspired by the State Seal of Missouri which depicts two mighty bears supporting a shield declaring “United We Stand, Divided We Fall”. The rim of the shield is comprised a belt and signifies the State’s ability to secede from the Union if deemed necessary, i.e., the belt can be unbuckled. Above the bears are 24 stars representing Missouri’s admission to the Union as the 24th state and below them is a banner with the states motto, “Salus populi suprema lex esto,” a Latin phrase meaning “Let the welfare of the people be the supreme law.”
Get one for yourself or send a pair out to your missionary and their companion!
Mission Social Media Groups
These groups are a great way to connect with other families who have missionaries in the same area, reconnect with other missionaries you served with in the past or simply learn more about the mission. Depending on the membership activity in the group, these can be truly amazing resources!
