France Lyon Mission Christmas Ornament
This ornament is a great way to remember your missionary and their service during the holidays! The design on this ornament is inspired by the Coat of Arms of the City of Lyon, France.
Made out of a lightweight and very durable transparent acrylic, these ornaments will not weigh your tree down and can definitely withstand being dropped by the little ones should they get too curious around the tree. The acrylic is cut into a 4 inch circle and then laser etched with the name of the mission and graphics inspired by the region served.
The design on this ornament is inspired by the Coat of Arms of the City of Lyon, which features a lion on a shield, standing on its hind legs. The shield of the city was granted in 1320, when Lyon was included the list of Bonnes Villes of the king of France and reflects the rich history of the city across different periods of its existence and the power that has exercised authority over the city. The heraldic lion is quite common in Western Europe, and several European countries and cities incorporate it into their respective coats of arms.
Get one for yourself or send a pair out to your missionary and their companion!
