Brazil Recife South Mission Christmas Ornament
This ornament is a great way to remember your missionary and their service during the holidays! The design of this ornament is inspired by the Brazilian Flag.
Made out of a lightweight and very durable transparent acrylic, these ornaments will not weigh your tree down and can definitely withstand being dropped by the little ones should they get too curious around the tree. The acrylic is cut into a 4 inch circle and then laser etched with the name of the mission and graphics inspired by the region served.
The design on this ornament is inspired by the Brazilian Flag and depicts a starry sky spanned by a curved band inscribed with the national motto “Ordem e Progresso” (“Order and Progress” in Portuguese). Each of the stars represents a Brazilian state and the Federal District, their size is proportion relative to its geographic size. The 27 stars compose nine constellations that are present in the sky of Rio de Janeiro in winter, the capital of the country.
Get one for yourself or send a pair out to your missionary and their companion!
